Rachel earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Studies and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Michigan State University. She has spent the past 12 years working with children, teens, and families across a variety of settings, including schools, faith-based organizations, and community organizations. Over the past year, Rachel has provided clinical therapy to teens and families, supporting clients as they navigate individual, family, and relational challenges.
Rachel has a strong foundation in family systems, individual interventions, parenting support, family communication, and generational family dynamics. She specializes in parent coaching and education related to childhood behavioral challenges and family communication, while also supporting individuals and families navigating ADHD, emotional and behavioral concerns, and relationship challenges.
Rachel takes a trauma-informed, person-centered approach to therapy, creating a supportive and collaborative environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. Her therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family therapy, and solution-focused methods. She works collaboratively with clients to build on their strengths, improve communication, develop effective coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change.
