“The greatest source of emotional pain is the negative things you say to yourself.”

I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Michigan State University in 2022, and while at MSU I was a Peer Advisor for Veteran Education as a member of their P.A.V.E. program. Currently, I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Michigan University.

I was drawn to counseling because, after serving in the military and needing some help of my own, I discovered a discrepancy in mental health care. I wish to help overcome that discrepancy by giving people the tools they need to live their best life. I like to think of counseling as similar to exercise. There might be some sweat and tears, or you might be sore after, but the goal is to slowly get stronger and feel better in the long run.
