“No matter what happens in life, be good to people. Being good to people is a wonderful legacy to leave behind.” - Taylor Swift

Stephanie holds a bachelor’s degree in education and human development from Western Michigan University and has earned her Master of Social Work from Spring Arbor University. Before becoming a therapist, Stephanie spent several years teaching special education to children and adolescents ages 3–19, supporting students with emotional impairments, autism spectrum disorder, and cognitive differences. She has also worked closely with youth and caregivers involved in the foster care system, helping families navigate challenging behaviors both at home and in school.
Stephanie works with children and adults and takes a trauma-informed, CBT-based approach to therapy that is both practical and relational. She strongly believes that we learn and grow through play in childhood—and that same process continues into adulthood through connection, curiosity, and self-awareness. Whether using play-based and experiential strategies with kids or reflective, skills-based work with adults, Stephanie helps clients better understand themselves, strengthen relationships, and build tools they can actually use in everyday life. Her goal is to create a warm, supportive space where clients feel safe to be themselves, explore challenges at their own pace, and grow in ways that feel meaningful and sustainable.
