Jennifer Compau, LMSW
I believe in a strength-based approach that leaves each individual to decide on how and what they feel they need to further explore. I support that every person should set realistic goals that motivate them and help them to feel more comfortable exploring their future and past experiences. My own goal is to provide every person with a supportive, safe and confidential environment that helps them to better understand their own mental wellness.
I have years of experience in working with multiple populations and age groups; children, adults, couples and families. I have clinical experience in Substance abuse, Bereavement, Trauma history, Self-confidence, Anger management, Anxiety, Mindfulness/Grounding techniques, Adjustment Disorder, Classroom behaviors, Depression, Strained relationships and Domestic violence. I am trained in Trauma Focused Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT).
My hope is to help provide support in learning to cope and successfully manage everyday stressors and challenges that can serve as a roadblock. The goal is to create increased confidence in not only building social connections but confidence better navigating life's transitions.
